Since 1999, The Actors Conservatory Theatre has inspired children across North Texas to grow in their love of the performing arts, all while consistently providing audiences with high-quality, community-based children's theatre. Through many seasons, our mission has always remained the same: To foster the education of great classic literature for the young and young at heart, through a dedication to outstanding, all-inclusive, family-oriented theatre, right here in our own community.

Welcome to The ACT!

A*B*C* (America Before Columbus)

The play begins with two children stepping across the frozen Bering Strait 20,000 years ago. We see the first Americans learn to survive, to hunt, to fish, to farm, to continue to progress until that day in 1492 when those strange sails appeared on the horizon. An outline of American prehistory, it is full of humor and action to keep young audiences entertained.      Students in this laboratory-style play class will use this creative script by Joseph Robinette to learn about all aspects of putting together a show. They will take on every role, both on-stage and off, learning acting, voice, articulation, movement, and stage presence, all in the context of learning lines, playing roles, and preparing costumes, props, and sets for performance. The last class will end in a show for friends and family!
