Volunteering During the Show

These jobs are done during the performance weekends.

Two jobs per each weekend of the show’s run are required per family.

All volunteers should arrive at cast call or as soon as their actors are taken care of in the green room.

 BOX OFFICE:

  • We need volunteers to sell tickets prior to each performance.  This job includes arriving at cast call to set up the booth, checking the bathrooms to make sure they are clean and well stocked with towels and paper, selling tickets, counting money and preparing it for the treasurer, and closing up the booth after the performance.

We also need ushers for each performance to distribute programs, tear tickets and clean up after the show by picking up trash and straightening the theatre. Ushering is a great job for cast siblings ages 13 or above.

FOOD CONCESSIONS:

  • We need help with the set up, stocking and sales prior to, during, and after each performance.  Volunteers should arrive at cast call or as soon as their actor has been taken care of in the green room. In addition to the concession area, volunteers for concessions are responsible for the trash cans through out the theatre.

This is a great fundraiser for the theatre and we do our best to provide a well stocked and clean concessions area.

LOBBY FUNDRAISERS:

  • SOUVENIRS
  • RAFFLE
  • FLOWERS
  • STAR BOARD

We love any great ideas for thematic decorations, raffle items or souvenirs!  Volunteers work the various tables during each performance and everything must be put away and stored at the end of each show.

Souvenir volunteers are responsible for vacuming all carpeted areas in the theatre, the lobby and the outer lobby in addition to taking care of the souvenir area in the lobby, before the show, during intermission and after the show.

Raffle volunteers are responsible for setting up the raffle table and selling tickets to actors before lock down, then to customers before the show, during intermission and after the show (grand raffle items only after the show).

Flower volunteers are responsible for putting together the flowers to be sold and to make sure any pre- orders are ready.  Flowers are sold before the show, during intermission and after the show.

Star Board volunteers are responsible for checking the audience area of the theatre and making sure there is no trash on the floor or in the seats in addition to selling stars to the cast before lock down, and to customers before the show, during intermission and after the show.
