Since 1999, The Actors Conservatory Theatre has inspired children across North Texas to grow in their love of the performing arts, all while consistently providing audiences with high-quality, community-based children's theatre. Through many seasons, our mission has always remained the same: To foster the education of great classic literature for the young and young at heart, through a dedication to outstanding, all-inclusive, family-oriented theatre, right here in our own community.

Rhiannon Lomonaco - Instructor Everyone knows this classic story of Jack and his famous trip up the beanstalk, but did you know the rest of the story? Of course, there's the giant, but there is also the giant's overworked wife, an aria-singing harp, a golden-egg-laying chicken with performance anxiety, and a blue-eyed stranger who looks surprisingly like Jack's long-lost father! Naturally, there's the village at the foot of the beanstalk and the giant's home in the sky, but did you know about the sailing ship, caught in a storm off the coast of Pago Pago, with its blue-eyed master pulled mysteriously from the wreckage by a giant hand? What about the Ladies Plum and Pomegranate or Jack's pal Adelaide? Come to the foot of the beanstalk and the giant's home in the sky with us and find out what really happened! Students in this classroom-based play will use this creative script to learn about all aspects of putting together a show. They will take on every role, both on-stage and off, learning acting, voice, articulation, movement, and stage presence, all in the context of learning lines, playing roles, and preparing for performance. The last class will end in a staged show for friends and family!
